Clinton County Canine Club-Fay S. Kolz Memorial Scholarship Fund-Deadline March 15, 2016-For students majoring in animal science who will be attending a two or four year accredited institution applications are available in the guidance office.

Dottie Harvey Memorial Scholarship- Students who residents of Clinton County who meet the following criteria: scholarship, citizenship, personality, leadership, perseverance, resourcefulness, general worthiness, financial need, extracurricular participation and awards.-Deadline March 15, 2016-Applications are avalible in the guidance office.

The Agricultural & Industrial Fair of Clinton County, Inc.- An opportunity for (2) $200 scholarships and Scholarships-Preference will be given to students who have participated in a minimum of three years in Clinton County Fair Activities or students who are pursuing an agricultural or industrial college degree. Applications are available in the Guidance office and are due no later than April 15, 2016.

The Sarah S. Vert Student Fund Committee-Deadline April 15, 2016
A fund to help any Clinton County student who is headed to college who is both worthy and needy. Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office.

MET Life Award in memory of Joseph D. Lochner

Amount: (1) $2500 Scholarship-Be a graduating senior and a child of CSEA-represented employees in New York State. Salute to Labor Scholarship- a $500 scholarship available to any student who is a resident of Clinton, Essex or Franklin County, who is accepted to a trade school or college. Student must be a member or a child of a member of a union. Student must be eligible of to receive a GED or high school diploma by June 30, 2016 and be a registered voter by April 15, 2016. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and are due no later than April 15, 2016.

Bruce L. Crary Foundation Scholarship

 

Amount:  $600-$1000, based on need

Eligibility:  Applicants must reside in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, or Warren County, applicants must be income-qualified and in need of financial assistance.  The gross family income must not exceed $80,000.  One-page personal essay required.

CVPH Foundation Scholarship-one $1000 scholarship available to any graduating senior at Northern Adirondack who will be entering a health care field of study such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pharmacy, radiology school, etc. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and due no later than April 30, 2016.

May Scholarships

Dr. Karl and Ruth Kramer Northeastern Zone New York State Retired Teachers Association Scholarship-(2) $500 scholarships are available one in Clinton County and one in Essex County. Student must be accepted to a post secondary institution and be pursuing a career in the field of education. Students with demonstrated financial need and high school average of B or higher will be given preference.  Applications are available in the guidance office and are due no later than May 1, 2016.

The Clinton County Board or Realtor's Scholarships-Two scholarships are available-One $1000 scholarship available to any Clinton County graduating senior who is planning on continuing their education at any post secondary institution. One $500 scholarship available to any graduating senior who plans to continue their education at Clinton Community College.  Applications for both scholarships are available in the Guidance Office. Completed applications must be received no later than May 6, 2016 and must be mailed to: Scholarship Committee, C/o Clinton County Board of Realtors, 25 Margaret Street Suite 2, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.

Donald DeVirgeles Memorial Scholarships- Any student with and 80% or better GPA who plans on attending a two or four year college and majoring in Mathematics or Business who writes an essay describing why they are financially deserving of a scholarship. Applicant does not have to be a member of the Adirondack Federal Credit Union. More information is available in the Guidance Office. Must be received by May, 6 2016.


Clinton County Farm Bureau Scholarship-Deadline May 12, 2016 Any Clinton County Student who is planning on attending a two or four year college or university in the field of agricultural or agricultural business- Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

School Administrators Association of New York State (SAANYS) Educational Scholarship

Amount:  $100-$500

 Graduating seniors with a preference given to applicants with a high school average of “B” or higher.  Please submit a copy of your transcript including GPA and class rank.  Please also include a brief statement about activities,special recognition's, awards, and future plans you have.

June Deadlines

Business Club Scholarship: Any graduating senior who is an active member of the Business Club at Northern Adirondack Central School.

Applications are avalible in the Guidance office and due no later than June 1, 2016.

​Knights of Columbus Council #4441 Scholarship

Eligibility:
Any graduating  Senior who is an active paid member or whose parent is an active paid member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4441.

Award: A $200 scholarship that will be paid following completion of the first semester of college with a GPA of 2.5 or better and proof of registration for the second semester.

Applications are available in the guidance office and are due no later than June 2, 2016.

Nicole Baker Memorial Scholarship: A $500 scholarship available to any graduating senior who is planning on furthering their education at a State University College or University (4 year SUNY). Students must provide a short personal Biography which includes their personal goals and plans for the future.

Applications are due to the guidance office no later than June 2, 2016

Our Lady  of the Snows #1548 Scholarship: Any graduating senior who is a child of a Our Lady of the Snows #1548 member or in none apply any and all graduating seniors. Students should be planning on attending a 1, 2, 3 or 4 year program at a recognized institution. Grades, rank in class, honors and activities will be used to make the decision. Students should submit one teacher recommendation with the application.

Applications are avalible in the Guidance Office and due to the Guidance office no later than June 2, 2016.


Court Little Rose #1300 Scholarship: Any graduating senior who is a child of a Court Little Rose #1300 member who is in good standing. The student should be planning on attending a recognized 1, 2, 3, 4 program.

Applications are available in the Guidance Office and must be returned to the Guidance Office no later than June 6, 2016.

The Area Protestant Christian Churches Scholarship:
Any graduating senior who is active in his/her church and youth activities. Student must be of high moral character in school, church and community and be an abstainer from the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs. Student must be worthy and needy.

Applications are available in the guidance office and are due no later than June 9, 2016.

The Viola Baxter Scholarship:
Any graduating senior who is active in his/her church and youth activities. Student may be considering a career in the field of education. Student must be worthy and needy.

​August Deadlines

New York State STEM Scholarship
Eligibility

An applicant must:

  • be a legal resident of NYS and have resided in NYS for 12 continuous months;
  • be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen;
  • be a high school senior/recent high school graduate who will be enrolled full time at a SUNY or CUNY college, including community colleges and the statutory colleges at Cornell University and Alfred University, beginning in the fall term following his or her high school graduation;
  • be ranked in the top 10 percent of his/her high school graduating class of a NYS high school;
  • be matriculated in an undergraduate program leading to a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics at a SUNY or CUNY college;
  • earn a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher each term after the first semester;
  • execute a service contract agreeing to reside and work in NYS for five years in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. View the terms and conditions of the service contract;
  • not be in default on a student loan made under any NYS or federal education loan program or repayment of any state award; and
  • be in compliance with the terms of any service condition imposed by a state award.

Students matriculated in these programs of study may be eligible for a STEM Incentive Program award. The program of study must result in an approved occupation.

Award Amounts

A recipient receives an annual award for full-time study equal to the annual tuition charged to NYS resident students attending an undergraduate program at the State University of New York (SUNY), or actual tuition charged, whichever is less. For the 2015-2016 academic year, the Standard SUNY Tuition Rate was a maximum of $6,470 per year.

The STEM Incentive Program award will be reduced by the amount of any other tuition-only assistance award, such as the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), received
